Juan is is an accomplished angler with almost 40 years of on the water experience in Pennsylvania. His specialty is kayak fishing for smallmouth bass in moving water. Juan is an American Canoe Association certified kayak instructor and owner of Kayak Fish PA, LLC. The core focus of Juan’s guiding service is conducting Guided Kayak Fishing Classes which are a unique blend of kayak and fishing instruction aimed at helping anglers get the most out of their kayak as a fishing tool. Guided Kayak Fishing Classes are conducted on the picturesque waters of the Juniata and Susquehanna Rivers in central Pennsylvania.

Juan holds pro-staff positions with Temple Fork Outfitters, Winco’s Custom Lures, and KayakBassFishing.com. In addition, He has written extensively on the subject of kayak fishing for Susquehanna Fishing Magazine and his blog CentralPAfishing.com.

Juan’s enthusiasm for kayak fishing and smallmouth bass has landed him TV and video appearances. In the past, he has appeared on several episodes of the Centre Sportsman TV show. More recently, Juan is a featured contributor in Jeff Little’s seasonal kayak fishing tactics DVD series released in 2011 by Blue Ridge Kayak Fishing.

All that being said, Juan’s love for moving water, smallmouth bass, and kayak fishing is what motivates him. When not guiding, He can still be found paddling remote stretches of his favorite rivers and slinging baits in search of his next citation class smallmouth bass.
